FRH Music is pleased to announce that over the weekend of the 12th & 13th July 2025, FRH Radio will be joining with fellow radio stations Country NI, Ignition Country and CD FM to increase awareness of this terrible disease, and hopefully raise some much needed funds for the Alzheimer Society and Dementia UK, who, through their Admiral Nurses, support families living with dementia, world wide, so long as the person with the dementia is UK based.
Dementia UK estimates there are currently 982,000 people living with dementia in the UK and this is projected to
rise to 1.4 million by 2040. The Alzheimer's Society also reports that 1 in 3 people born in the UK today will be
diagnosed with dementia in their lifetime and that dementia is the UK's biggest health and social care crisis.
A dementia diagnosis also places a considerable strain on the family members and carers who struggle as
they watch their loved ones cope with this degenerative disease.
So what can you do to help?
FIRSTLY, you can tune into one of the participating radio stations by clicking on their image below and listen to two days of some great country music whilst learning a bit more about how dementia is affecting people today.
SECONDLY, YOU CAN MAKE A DONATION to one or, if you are feeling generous, to both, of our supported charities. The links below will take you to our "Just Giving" pages where you will also find a link to the organisation's websites.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
